Why Candle-Making Is A Great Activity To Try With Your Children
Candles have been used for thousands of years in almost every corner of the world. While their use has been drastically lessened by the availability of electricity, they are still useful as decorations and mood enhancers, especially when they have a special scent. Most families need at least a few candles in the home in case of an emergency power outage, so why not make candle-making an activity that you and your children can do together?
My kids love knitting but they get bored very easily. I can knit much faster than they can because I've been doing it for so long. I have started getting them to knit some little clothes for their teddies which they can complete relatively quickly. They love it when they can dress their teddies in tiny versions of the clothing that I have made for them. It's great to see the pride they have in their own handiwork and it's helping them to practise their knitting skills.
